Stig Lindberg was one of the most prolific designers in Scandinavia. For many Swedes, he is representative of the playful design of the 1950´s. Lindberg studied at the Swedish State School of arts, crafts and design in Stockholm, hoping to become a painter. After graduating in 1937 he accepted an employment as a faience painter at Gustavsberg pottery under Wilhelm Kåge. Here the beloved Eva tea cup and saucer is relaunched. Eva is the "female" pattern, while Adam was the "male" pattern designed by Stig Lindberg. A beautiful piece to add to your mid-century modern collection. This tea cup is perfect for your morning / afternoon tea or use it as your coffee cup. Add the Eva fika plate for a perfect setting.
