Mikael Nilsson from Helsingborg designed his first furniture at the Nyckelviks school of art & wood in Stockholm. He connected with the process and the object and it was then he decided that he should become a furniture designer.

Mikael Nilsson started at the Växjö design School in 2003.

He choose this school because he could come closer to the industries that are located in the area around Växjö. It was the industrial design that attracted him.

It was there he developed his business plan for his new company. Mikael came in contact with the company called Högsbyplast that specialises in plastics related to furniture. They are situated in the town of Virserum. In Virserum he came in contact with the city arthall.

The Virserum city arthall contracted him to do an exhibition about the furniture history of Virserum. It was after this exhibition that he decided to become a part of the new furniture history in Virserum.
