Bring history, and love into your home while not getting burned by hot pots!
Here is one of the most traditional symbols of Sweden. Even though the horse came to Sweden around 4000 years ago, the Dala Horse as we know it today came alive in the 1600's. The horse and man have always lived together side by side, and throughout history the Swedish people have depended on this strong, helpful animal all year around. The men who worked in the forest started carving little wooden horses for their children and WHIPS, the Dala Horse was born. It later became painted with the colorful patterns we see on this wonderful trivet.
Use it in your own kitchen or give it as a present to someone special - the beautiful history is sure to enlighten anyone's day!
